# First of all Ping to 10.0.16.2

If you do not get reply from ping the contact to Metronet other wise follow these procedures to make new connection (if needed).

1. Click Start > Settings > Network and Dial-up Connection. Click Create a new Connection.

This window will appear if any other connection exists.

If not next window will come up.

Click on properties.

Select Advanced (custom settings)

Then Click on Settings Button.

a. Select The Data Encryption to “No Encryption Allowed.

b. Check Unencrypted password (PAP)

c. Uncheck all other checked option.

Click on Networking.

Select Point to Point Protocol.
